You are NOT broken - you went through hard times, but you are aware, so you can heal yourself. I wrote a few articles on how to love ourselves you might find helpful.

Reading this was a slap in the face. I thought I had worked through my own issues, I have done so much work and self healing. 15 years alone after 2 abusive relationships and 2 rapes. Got into a situationship with an old flame who I always remembered as the ONE guy who treated me well. After 1.5 years......he ghosted me. There must have been red flags I made excuses for!! Sigh

I hear you. Especially if we have childhood trauma, it can come back to haunt us in romantic relationships.

The only way for us to be truly safe is to be strong on the inside, so we can see red flags for what they are, instead of making excuses. I married a low integrity man once, and though leaving him was painful, it was a needed wake-up call for me to do more healing, so I don't ignore red flags.
